Анотація

У статті досліджуються індивідуалізм та раціоналізм
як основні складові модернізації. Визначено історичні
джерела та теоретичні напрямки осмислення індивідуа-
лізму та раціоналізму. Особливу увагу приділено утилі-
тарній традицій в політичній філософії. Відзначено, що
на сучасному етапі утилітарна традиція, у фокусі якої
знаходяться індивідуалізм та раціоналізм, знаходить своє
продовження в теорії раціонального вибору та теорії ігор.

The article examines individualism and rationalism as
the main components of modernization. The historical sourc-
es and theoretical directions of comprehension of individu-
alism and rationalism are determined. Particular attention
is paid to the utilitarian traditions in political philosophy. It
is noted that at the present stage, the utilitarian tradition,
in the focus of which is individualism and rationalism, finds
its continuation in the theory of rational choice and game
theory.
